Thanks for your update.

I realized that the Internet Explorer, which is a supported Microsoft web browser worked smoothly on your side. Chrome browser can also be used to access SharePoint Online and do some basic actions, however, functionality may be limited for some tasks.

If you have further concerns about this, the SharePoint Online Service Description is for your reference.
