Is there an email address I could send you the spreadsheet on so you can see what its like and how it works?
The users accessing the sheet would be external.
The idea is the entire family's Christmas present shopping list is available on the internet, when members of the family buy a gift from the list they can access the spreadsheet and mark the particular gift off as purchased, the need for passwords is so family members cannot see their own lists and what has been bought.
When opening the spreadsheet you click on a box to input your username and password, this then opens the christmas list to be updated, you can then update and save down.
The passwords are already built into the spreadsheet using macros, could web apps support this?
Also some of the users accessing the spreadsheet will be using apple machines, in which case I'm pretty sure iOS wont work with macros?
